What a beautiful day to run. Yesterday’s temp rose and sun shined bright. I started out from my house and have to say it felt so good to push beyond 4 miles. Longest run since October’s marathon.

- St. Louis Rock and Roll Marathon
While I haven’t run that far in a few months, I have to say, it wasn’t that hard. It actually felt good to move back into longer runs. Also, easy recovery. The bottom outside of my right foot bothers me some, I kind of remember that from marathon training – will ice and move on. What would running be without a few sore toes too? I know I didn’t run that far if I don’t have some tenderness there. π
This week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, will be running (3) 5 K legs each day for the A-Cross the Country Relay for Life. It started in Brooklyn (Brooklyn Bridge) and is making its way through Illinois this weekend. We take it from the St. Louis runners on Tuesday. So will be ready.
My God son, Zach Lauf is the runner that will start off the Mid-MO legs of the race/relay. Pretty proud of him.
Next weeks long run (preparing for half marathon in NYC – April 14th) is 9 miles. So to that, especially after my heavy week of running, I say…Bring it on!
