Last Long Run Under a Starry Night Sky

Did my last long run under a starry night sky (8 miles).

When I began training for the More/fitness Magazine Half Marathon (the first of 4 half marathons that I have since finished) in January 2010 (race was in April), much of that training was at night in the dark.  I remember always thinking to myself those nights, “am I really doing this?”  That seems like a long time ago.

I will have 3 short 2 and 3 mile runs this week and then it is finished.

When I went out tonight the first couple of miles were a little harder since it had been so long since my last run.  However, once I hit mile 3, I just went into auto-pilot mode.

Anxious!

I’ve been considering running at night. Your post may just push me over the edge to try it. Thanks

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Just be careful, there were a number of times the headlights from the cars lit up hazards in front of me that I otherwise would have been aware of. I ran with a glow stick but should have chose a flash light instead. Will know next time. Earlier training in 2010 was more walking than running – more time to react to such things. It was really nice though and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Have a great day!

  2. Love that starry night picture. I think that anxiety will help ya power through! =]
