Wow – I was blown away when I opened this message up that was left on my last post.
Love it!
So honored she took the time to read and respond to my blog. Awesome!
Hello Anne, Dame Evelyn Glennie has asked me to leave the following message for you “When I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for Able Child Africa the one piece of advice that was constantly said to me was that I must do this for myself and for no other reason. At first I wondered why because the purpose was for one of my charities. However as the climb became tougher I realised that we become at one with ourselves and we look innermost for every ounce of strength to give. Therefore I would suggest you do the same – run for yourself and give the proceeds to charity!” good luck from all at the Evelyn Glennie Office.

I ran 4 miles this morning. Getting back into it.
Have a wonderful day and make it count…I know I will.
That is pretty amazing! Congrats! I am so sorry to hear you have been sick. Lots of stuff going around. Hunter has had an ear infection for almost 3 weeks. Just finished 2nd round of antibiotics and ear is better, but now having tons of allergy symptoms. Poor kid. Well, it starts today! My torcher of training to run with you and the Life runners in St Louis. I just returned from Camp Barnabas (where I wore my Life runners shirt very proudly) and am now ready to get my head in the game for the 5K. Going to start with a combo of some treadmill and outdoors running. The nature center is right out my back door so should make for some lovely scenery. Now – if the temp and humidity would just come down – 107 today – I would be great!! I spent every day last week in the outdoors at camp with over 100 degree weather and I managed to not pass out! Go me!! 🙂 Will email you some pics of camp tomorrow – Hunter had an amazing time. I always do – that is a given. Anytime spent with those beautiful children is a gift and I truly cherish it! I also found my future son in law at camp – if Kelsey doesn’t marry him, I am going to!! haha. They met and had their first date yesterday – so far so good. I am keeping my fingers crossed. You will love him – and he is catholic! And plays the guitar, writes music, and sings. And is getting ready to graduate from college next year. And….I could go on and on. I found my daughter the ONE! I know it! :)))) Have a great day! Watch for some pics from me soon.
Wow Carrie! So proud of you and Hunter. Sorry he has been sick. I think the humidity and so much air conditioning is causing some of the problems. I sent your note to Pat Castle, Coach, President and Founder of the LIFE Runners.
