Did you see last night’s meteor shower? If you are like me (an early riser that struggles to stay up past 9:30 pm), you didn’t. If not, check out the AP photo below. Go to NASA’s site for more cool stuff about last nights Lyrid meteor shower.
Today is the London Marathon (they are 6 hours ahead of us). At the start of the race it was 55 degrees with rain forecasted for later on in the day. Most of the runners have finished and the winner for the Women’s Division was Mary Keitany PR (2:18.37). I am so happy for her. She suffered a heart-breaking loss in the ING New York City Marathon (2011), when she had an amazing lead through out most of the race and then at the very end, could not fend off the challengers that came from behind and beat her – moving her back to 3rd place in the end. Today is hers though and it was her personal best.
Shelley Woods won the Women’s Wheelchair race.
Today I’m running in a 5K. This is also day 7 of diet – still going strong. Should be a great day for running. The fun begins…after Church.
