A high percentage of marathon runners are thinking the same thing right now…”I want to qualify for the 2014 Boston Marathon.” As a show of support for the victims, their families, the city of Boston, and the Marathon itself.
I know I’d like to, but that means I’d have to be running a marathon fairly soon at a pace that is faster than I have done before.
Hmmm…..
Let me know who else is thinking about this too.
We all believe in you!

Wow! How awesome – I love it! Thanks!
I had half a thought about aiming for this… but realistically I think it might have to be 2015 for me.
Amanda, I am wondering if I might have to wait too. Would really like to be there in 2014 though.
I need to run 3:25 to qualify, but my PR is only 4:00. My goal is to run 3:45 in October. That last 20 minutes just seems impossible.
I so want to run next year, just like everyone else. They will have to add to the normal number of runners, just this once.
If you want it bad enough, you absolutely can do it!
I don’t have any plans to run another marathon anytime soon, but am working on other ways to show support. =]
Thanks Sarah! There are a lot of ways to show support…Cudos to you for seeking those out. You are encouraging others through your actions. Have a great day!
My husband and I are thinking about that too. Now we want to qualify for Boston Marathon more than ever. 🙂
Go for it! Goodluck! 🙂 I would love to read a future Boston Marathon recap from you. 🙂
Thanks Ja! I’m going to try. It would be a big jump to run at a 9 minute mile. Maybe this is the motivation I need to do so. Keep me posted on your progress too!
