9 Miles Done – Tired, Hot and Ready for the Pool

Today’s run was tough.  I started out strong with a good time and began the run at 6:30 – to beat the heat.  Then realized I forgot to use the restroom before leaving the house.  Next week will implement a 6 point check before going out the door – that being one of them.

So at mile 3 I stop by my Church to use the restroom thus the 17 minute mile.  Continued running until mile  8 and 9 also walked some of mile 5 too – pretty hot.  At mile 9 I was struggling.  It was 85 degrees and 70% humidity.  My stomach was upset too.  Glad I was finished though.

My overall time isn’t great but hey – I did it.  Really have a lot of work to do between now and October because right now if I had to do 26 miles, I don’t think I’d be able to finish.  That is why it is necessary to train.  I used some of my positive mantras and ran with bottle of watered down coconut water.  Also had some nuts and raisins at mile 4 and 8 then again afterwards.   Legs are pretty tired.

When I finished I did stretches and walked around a little.  Then headed home.  Had to stop in the middle of a city street to wait for a flock of geese to cross – too funny.

Have a great day!
