Thoughts and prayers for the city of Boston, race participants and families. So tragic.
Kristina and I had just arrived in St. Louis from NYC (3:15 CST) when we heard the news about Boston.

Kristina Davis, Anne Carmichael before the More/fitness Magazine’s Women’s Half Marathon in NYC’s Central Park, Sunday, April 14, 2013
I set a new PR (results below). Will post more about this later.
Our excitement, about returning home after our race, changed to shock and sadness for all in Boston when we heard the news.
Right now, we are all Bostonian’s!
Heart breaking. Mercy.
Thanks Mike – I agree. So devastating.
Congratulations on your new PR.
I was just in Boston but was able to go home before it all happened. Like you, all my excitement about the marathon just all shattered when I heard the sad sad news. Will continue to run for Boston.
Jaliza, I am so glad you are safe after being in Boston. Wow, that was close. Feel so badly for all involved so am waiting a while before posting much about my race. You must be a pretty fast runner to be in that race. I think we have to show support for next years race so they move forward with it. I and others are going to travel there to watch on the sidelines next year. I would run in it but would never qualify. Congratulations to you for digging in, working hard, training hard for that long race. Praise God you weren’t there when the explosions occurred. Stay in touch…I’ll check in with you also.
